Outdoor Garden Plaques

Try sprucing up your patio, garden or greenhouse with outdoor garden plaques.  The garden and greenhouse are no longer just for plants.  These outdoor areas deserve the same loving care and attention to décor as does any other room in your home.  Extend the reach of your style and taste to include your slice of the outdoors.

Many options abound for decorating a garden with outdoor garden plaques, but color might be a first consideration.  Unless you’ve randomly thrown seeds in the ground you probably have some sense as to what the color scheme of your garden will be once it’s in full bloom.  Decide then on the colors of outdoor garden plaques that strike your interest.  Whether you want the colors complementing or contrasting will help ease the decision making process.

Because garden plaques are relatively inexpensive you can experiment with creating different motifs and looks for your garden.  Common motifs include celestial bodies, such as the sun, moon, and night sky; religious motifs, often in the form of angels; animal motifs often of rabbits or other garden pests; and of course bird motifs, most notably the hummingbird.  These few examples are merely a drop in the bucket of the many options out there for selecting outdoor garden plaques.

As the seasons change, so will your garden.  As naturally as you would decorate your home for the changing of the seasons such as for Thanksgiving in the fall or Christmas during the winter months so too can you change out your outdoor garden plaques to reflect the changing of the seasons.  As springtime rolls around and it’s time to put more seeds in the ground, so too might you change out the plaques for a different look.  There is no rule saying that you have to stick with one design.  They can be exchanged as often as you like to reflect your adapting styles.

You can further add life to your garden by adding stepping stones, bird feeders and garden statues that complement your outdoor garden plaques as you transform your simple garden into your version of paradise.
