Having A Paintball Pistol For Back-up
The best use for a paintball pistol is for a hand weapon. Even though the pistol has some advantages over the player’s primary weapon, it is nearly useless in battle when pitted against primary weapons. A pistol may be used as an experienced player’s handicap weapon when used as the sidearm.
Unless they are used in nontournament play or in tournaments that allow the use of a sidearm, pistols are not really useful weapons. They make an inferior main weapon but do have a niche for sidearm use. The player is jeopardized by depending upon pistols because of the low capacity of the ammunition. Because pistols have a low accuracy rate at distances, they must be used at close range giving the player a disadvantage.
As can be seen, pistols have both good and bad aspects but can excel in games that permit a sidearm. There are a number of advantages to having pistol as sidearm. One is they are lightweight and are easily stored in a holster thus freeing the user’s hands. The handgun is less likely to be hit than a paintball marker that is full size because of its smaller size. Finally, pistols are more easily manipulated in action and it has good accuracy in close-up situations.
Experienced players will find a pistol a more useful tool than inexperienced paintballers. The pistol may become a piece of valuable equipment for experience players than for less experienced players. Superior players frequently use it in play to show their superiority over their opponents. Experienced players consider using a hand weapon to tag an adversary as a great victory and find the overall gaming experience better if they use the hand weapon for a handicap.
Clearly, the pistol is most useful as a sidearm when playing paintball. The disadvantages of the weapon are greater than the advantages when it is used in competition. If it is used, a pistol is most beneficial for an experienced player. However, it may be beneficial for tournament play which permit sidearms.
